The Logging screen allows you to select logging and tracing options.
Route messages to
Logging captures alerts and warning messages in a file. You can direct the Security Adapter to route these messages to one of two different files, or to none.
Windows NT Event Log — By default, the Security Adapter routes log messages to the Windows NT Event Log, which you view with the Event Viewer (in the Administrative Tools program group).
File — If you prefer, you can route the log messages to a separate file by selecting the File radio button and supplying a path. The default path name is \Program Files\Gradient\NetCrusader\log.
None — You can disable logging altogether by selecting the None radio button.
Tracing provides more detail than logging and is used mainly in debugging because it consumes system resources and disk space. Tracing is disabled by default. You can enable tracing by selecting the Tracing checkbox. Enabling tracing degrades the web server’s performance.
Path
Accept the default path name or enter a new one. The default path name is the same as the default message path name.
