DataKey Smart Card Configuration wth Entrust and NetCrusader
(370GR 3-Aug-1999)

Entrust profiles for a DataKey smart card are stored on the card. When using NetCrusader/Web, configuring Entrust profiles for a DataKey smart card is slightly different than when configuring for Entrust profiles that exist in a file.

When configuring for a smart card:

  • You must put a trailing slash at the end of the path to the default profile location. This path is on the Security tab of the NetCrusader/Web Client Configuration program (look for the section labeled Entrust Security). You would not need the trailing slash for an Entrust profile being read from a file.
  • You must consider case when entering the profile name because the profile name for a smart card is case sensitive. This is not a problem with a profile stored in a file because Windows NT file names are not case sensitive.
