ENABLING ENTRUST AUTHENTICATION (305GR 15-Jan-1998)

PROBLEM: When connecting to an Entrust-enabled Web server, the "Security Adapter may be disabled" message is displayed.

CAUSE: Either Entrust or the Internet Information Server (IIS) may not be set up properly.

SOLUTION:

1. Be sure that Entrust is set up properly.

2. Disable the "Windows NT Challenge/Response" authentication to IIS.

PROBLEM: When connecting to a Web server protected by the Security Adapter, the "501/Not Supported" message is displayed.

CAUSE: Although Entrust may not currently be enabled on the server, it must have been enabled at one time.

SOLUTION: Purge the Entrust Host list on the NetCrusader Client.
