MAC INTERNET EXPLORER UNABLE TO INTERPRET LOCALHOST
(250GR 15-Sep-1998)
Applies to WebCrusader Version 2.x only. (Macintosh systems only)
Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser for the Macintosh is unable to
properly interpret localhost when specified in a WebCrusader URL. The
localhost specification is used in WebCrusader URLs to access the WebCrusader
login dialog (http://localhost/SecLogin) and the WebCrusader Security
dialog (http://localhost/SecMenu) as well as other files located in the
html folder (installed within the Entegrity DCE folder). This problem
has been reported to Microsoft.
To work around the problem, specify 127.0.0.1 rather than localhost in
all WebCrusader URLs. For example, to display the WebCrusader Login dialog,
specify http://127.0.0.1/SecLogin. Entegrity also recommends that you
use relative URL specifications in all your web pages.
