Intended Audience

This guide is for programmers who are developing Java applications that will use the Gradient NetCrusader™/CORBA ORB security service. This guide assumes that the reader knows how to develop Java applications and is familiar with the use of the VisiBroker CORBA ORB.

Obtaining Technical Support

If you purchased NetCrusader/CORBA directly from Gradient, you are entitled to 30 days of limited technical support beginning on the day the product is expected to arrive.

You may also purchase a support plan that entitles you to additional services. You must register prior to receiving this support. For details, refer to the customer support information package that accompanied your shipment or refer to the Technical Support area of http://support.gradient.com. The web site also contains online forms for easy registration.

If you purchased NetCrusader from a reseller, please contact the reseller for information on obtaining technical support.

Subscribing to the NetCrusader/CORBA Mailing List

To facilitate the exchange of information among NetCrusader/CORBA developers and users, Gradient maintains a public mailing list.

To subscribe:

  1. Address your email to netccorba-tech-req@gradient.com.

  2. Leave the subject line blank.

  3. In the body of the message, enter the following text:

    subscribe netccorba-tech your_email_address

You will receive an email confirming that you have been added to the mailing list. After we add you to the list, you can direct your NetCrusader/CORBA correspondence to the following email address:

netccorba-tech@gradient.com

If a group of people at your site intends to subscribe, consider creating a mailing list exploder to help us reduce the load on our server and to speed up transmission to subscribers.

Note that netccorba-tech@gradient.com is a public mailing list; all mail messages are accessible to all subscribers. However, the membership list itself is concealed to avoid unwanted parties from obtaining members' addresses.

To unsubscribe:

  1. Address your email to netccorba-tech-req@gradient.com.

  2. Leave the subject line blank.

  3. In the body of the message, enter the following text:

    unsubscribe netccorba-tech your_email_address
