Selecting a JVM to Use with iPlanet and AssureAccess (27-Sep-2005)

This Tech Note applies to versions 3.0 through 3.0.9.

Problem

The JVM shipped with iPlanet is not compatible with AssureAccess.

Solution

Configure iPlanet to use a JVM that is compatible with AssureAccess.

  1. Launch the web server administration console for iPlanet.
  2. Click the Global Settings Tab.
  3. Select Configure JRE/JDK Paths and then use the following JRE PATH

    C:/Entegrity/AssureAccess/jre

NOTE: If necessary, replace C:/Entegrity with the path of your local installation directory. If you require a
JDK, specify the directory in which the JDK is installed. For example, if you have installed the Sun 1.4 JDK in the default location, you would specify C\j2sdk1.4.2_04.
