Obtaining PC-DCE 4.0.7
If you have Windows Terminal Services or a Terminal Services
client running on the machine on which you will install PC-DCE,
you must download the version for Terminal Server.
Applying PC-DCE 4.0.7
To upgrade to PC-DCE 4.0.7:
- Download PC-DCE 4.0.7. (See "Obtaining PC-DCE 4.0.7"
above for download links.)
- Using the PC-DCE Service Panel, stop PC-DCE on the host
machine to which the patch will be applied.
- From a command line, run the patch utility by entering:
For the standard version:
patch-nt.exe -i PATCH407GA
For the Terminal Server version:
patch-nt.exe -i
PATCH407TS
Note: If you are not in
the directory where the .RTP file is located, specify the
full path to the file. For example, enter:
patch-nt.exe
-i
C:\mydir\mypath\PATCH407GA
- Reboot the machine.
Note: When the cell comes back up, it
may take a minute or two for the daemons to resynchronize
themselves with the master. Initially, the PC-DCE Service
Panel may say the daemons are unavailable. After about
one minute, click Refresh and the servers will run normally.
