DCE and DFS for Red Hat Linux -- Version 2.3 Builds

Previous Builds

This page contains information on builds prior to 2.3-141 that were released after the initial release of v2.3.

For information on the current build (2.3-141), click here.

Build 126

This build supports Red Hat v9 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux v3.0.(Note: This version supports *only* Red Hat v9 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux v3.0.)

This build includes the following changes:

  • Fixed a condition where some secd thread stacks were too big, which prevented secd from being scalable.
  • Added a warning in dce.h that appears when an application is built on 64-bit machines. This warning is necessary for those who try to build DCE applications on x86-64.
  • Modified the idl compiler so that it now produces the correct output for Linux C++ stubs. Note that when building C++ stubs and programs, you must include Linux first, since the C++ headers require linuxthreads.
  • Fixed errmsg segv in DCE pthreads. This problem could occur when testing C++ DCE programs.
  • When cred files are deleted, secd now recreates deleted tickets on refresh, allowing secd to refresh its identity.

Obtaining Archived Builds

The contents of the current builds are cumulative. That is, if you download the most-recent build for v2.3, it will contain any fixes in the previous builds for this release.

This means that you do not need to download or install any of the previous builds that were released after the initial release of v2.3.
